Chapter 7-Pt.2

Sheri rejoined Calen, Jenny and Jon at the table and order everyone another round of drinks.  Calen declined, one Long Island tea was enough for one night.  She got a Pina Colada instead.  She could sip on that for a while.  After a few minutes, Calen decided that she wanted another turn at the karaoke machine and stood up to go to the stage but was stopped by Sheri.

"What’s wrong with you Sheri," Calen asked, "I was just going to do another song."

"No, someone else is up there, just sit down and wait,” said Sheri, looking up at the stage, "I think you will like this."

Calen did what Sheri asked and sat back down.  All of a sudden, the lights over the stage turned off and the stage was dark.

"What the......?" Calen asked.

"I don’t know," Jenny said.

Then...music started to play.  Calen recognized it instantly, it was C'mon and Love Me.  That was the song she passed up on singing earlier because it reminded her so much of Paul.

"Hey, that isn’t coming from the karaoke machine, someone is playing the guitar up there." said Jon.

"You are right, what is going on here?" said Jenny.

They were right, someone was playing the guitar, but who was it? The stage was still dark.

Then she heard singing:

She’s a dancer, a romancer...

I’m a Capricorn and she’s a cancer...

She saw my picture in a music..magazine...

She would recognize that voice anywhere..

"It is Paul!!!" she screamed at her friends, "I know it, I just know it!"

"Show yourself!" she hollered at the stage.

Just then, the lights went up, and there was Paul, sitting on a stool, playing an acoustic guitar and singing her favorite song right to her.  She really couldn’t believe it.

You were distant...now you're nearer

I can feel you face inside the mirror...

The lights are out and I can feel you baby with my hands....

Paul was singing every word right to her and she was eating it up like candy.  She couldn’t believe he was there, that he had found her.

Calen just couldn’t contain herself any longer; she got up and joined Paul onstage.  They looked deep into each other’s eyes while they finished the song...together.

Chapter 8

"C'mon in," Paul said as he opened the door, "make yourself at home."

Calen walked in the door of Paul's home and was immediately struck by the beauty of it.  It was large, but livable and comfortable.  It was neatly clean, but no so neat you couldn’t sit down for fear of messing up the furniture.  She half expected to find some huge mansion with black and white tile floors and ornate sculptures and women all lying around everywhere, like the house in KISS: eXposed.  She let out a little chuckle.

"Is my home funny to you?" Paul asked.

Calen blushed, she hadn’t intended for Paul to hear that.

"Oh, no, on the contrary, it is beautiful, I just...well, it isn’t..."

"What you expected?" Paul finished, "like in the video right?"

"Yeah, I guess," Calen, said a little embarrassed.

"It’s ok, I get it more than you think, I guess it would be like going into you house and think it is decorated like the Starship Enterprise."

"How did you know??" Calen chuckled, "that I have a replica of the Enterprise in my house??"

They had a good laugh as Paul led her into the living room.  Paul motioned her to sit down and he excused himself and left the room.  The living room was quite large and open, with a kitchen in the back and a pool table and bar on the side.  This room is almost as big as my whole house, she thought to herself.  There were many pictures on the wall so she decided to get up and look at them.  Many of the pictures were old, like from the 70’s; it was Paul with different people, some celebrities she recognized and some people she didn’t know.  Some had Paul with make-up and some had Paul without make-up.  Many of the pictures she recognized as being in KISSTORY.  She was busy looking at the photos when Paul came back in the room.  He came up behind her and put his arms around her waist and gave her a small hug.  Calen moaned slightly at his embrace.  It felt wonderful to be in Paul's home and she immediately felt at home there.

"How do you like the pictures?" Paul asked softly in her ear.

Chills went immediately all over her body at the feel of his breath on her neck.

"You sure know a lot of people," she said trying to contain herself.

"Yes, I have been very lucky in my career." Paul said.

"Where did you go?" Calen asked curiously.

"Sorry, I just went to check my messages," Paul said as he walked her back over to the couch.

"I love my friends," Calen started, "but I just had to get out of there so we could talk."

"I understand," said Paul, "I think we need to get some things straight."

Paul started telling Calen what a huge fan he was of hers, he showed her his collection of magazines and videos he had of her, and how many times he had seen all her movies.  Calen was struck dumbfounded by all of this, after all, she was a huge fan of HIS, and how could he possibly be a fan of HERS??  She knew Paul had dated celebrities.  She knew he lived the high life.  How could she possibly compare with that??  She wasn’t glamorous.  Oh, sure she had been at the Oscars, the Emmys, she had won a People's Choice award, but she couldn’t seem to compare herself to all those other women.

When Paul finished, it was Calen's turn to tell Paul what a huge fan of his she was, how she had all the albums, magazines and videos.  Once she started, she just couldn’t seem to stop.  It hit her all at once that she was actually sitting in the presence of PAUL STANLEY!  When she couldn’t think of anything else to flatter him with, she stopped, out of breath.  They both laughed.

"Well, I guess we can agree that we are both fans of each other, so let’s put that to rest for now OK?"  Paul said.

"Fine with me." Calen said relieved.

They continued to talk for the next several hours.  They talked about their families, their interests, and their dreams for the future.  Calen was amazed that there was so much about Paul that she still didn’t know.  She loved it though, because he was opening up to her, and more importantly, she was opening up to him.

She decided to tell him about Jeff, the man she was engaged to who broke her heart.  "I met Jeff at a party," Calen started.  "Sheri had been invited, but at the time she didn’t have a boyfriend and didn’t feel like going by herself, so she asked me to go.  Jeff was a senior manager of a bank and I was immediately taken in by his good looks and personality.  I guess I should have known something when I saw him surrounded by so many women.  We started dating for about 8 months.  Everything was wonderful, he was kind and considerate and fun to be with.  He was comfortable going to parties and fundraiser with me and didn’t seem a bit nervous about escorting me to the Oscars.  I was so sure I had found Mr. Right; I loved his mother, whom I got along great with, and his sister, whom I had become great friends with.  I was so happy when he proposed."

Calen knew she had gotten long winded, but Paul didn’t seem to mind.

"What happened then?" Paul asked, "What went wrong?"

"Well, for the first 2 months after we got engaged, everything seemed fine, plans for the wedding were in the works.  I had gotten Vera Wang to design a beautiful dress for me.  When I showed it to Jeff, he wasn’t impressed.  He said he wanted something a little more traditional.  'I have something already picked out' he said.  When he showed it to me, I didn’t like it.  It had lace up to the neck and down the arms and there wasn’t any skin showing.  I started to protest, but Jeff seemed so excited about it, I gave in and told him I would wear it.  That was it for the wedding plans.  After that, Jeff began working late; he would call and break dates.  I wouldn’t be able to reach him at work anymore.  He was taking frequent business trips.  This went on for about 4 months.  It was about 3 months before we were to get married and nothing was done.  Every time I talked to Jeff about anything, we would argue.  I just figured it was wedding jitters, but everyone around me told me something was up.  No one trusted him, not my parents, not Sheri, not Beverly, no one.  Yet, I couldn’t see it.  Finally, it started to sink in that something was wrong.  Amber, Jeff’s sister said that she was getting suspicious.  She came over to my house and said that she had called over to Jeff's house and said that Angela had answered the phone.  'When Angela heard my voice, she quickly hung up' Amber told me.

Angela was a friend of Calen and Sheri's.  They had all met when she did a walk-on roll on The Next Generation and had remained friends.  Angela can only be described as a major flirt.  She never kept a steady boyfriend and she only went after men who were attached or married.  She loved the sport of luring men away from their wives and then dumping them.  But despite all that, Angela had never made a move on anyone Calen and Sheri were dating.  "I would never do that to my friends," she would always say.  Now Calen was getting really suspicious.

"So, by this time I was really getting worried," Calen continued, "Amber said that she would do some snooping around Jeff's apartment and see if she could find anything.  She had a key that he had given her so she could feed his dog while he was out of town, and since he hadn’t asked for it back, she figured that he forgot about it.  I waited and waited for what seemed like forever for Amber to call.  Finally she did but it wasn’t until noon the next day.  She told me she decided to wait for him to go to work before she went to his apartment.  She seemed really upset and told me that she wanted to come over and tell me in person.  When she arrived, she was pale.  She looked like she had been crying also.  When I let her in, she sat down on my couch and handed me a shoebox.  All she could say to me was 'I’m sorry'.  When I opened it up I found.....

R----I-----N----G----!!!!!!

"Damn, I’m sorry, hold that thought a minute" Paul said as he got up to answer the phone.

Who the HELL could that be at this hour? she looked at the clock, 1:30am.  Man, I have been talking a while she thought.

"Sorry," Paul said when he returned, "It was Shannon, she was wondering if I had found you."

"Did you tell her I was here?" asked Calen.

"Yeah, I told her I would fill in her and Gene tomorrow, so please continue with your story."

"Look, I know you are just being nice, but I know it is boring you, maybe we should just call it a night and take me home."

"Oh no, you aren’t getting away that easy baby," Paul said, "besides I’M interested, I’m curious at one sort of asshole would treat you so badly."

"Well, if you are sure...."

"Yes, I’m sure, please continue."

Calen sighed. "Ok, well, so I opened the box and inside was some pictures, they were of Jeff and Angela.  She was dressed in a white mini dress and carried some flowers and Jeff was in a suit, but it was a little tousled and he had no tie.  They were kissing.  All the pictures were like that except for one..it showed Jeff and Angela in bed, they were fucking.  I looked at the bottom of the box and there was a slip of paper, it was a marriage license from the state of Nevada!  It took me a minute, but I figured out that Jeff and Angela had gotten married at one of those little wedding chapels in Vegas on one of his business trips.  The license was dated like 3 months ago!  I couldn’t believe it!

"That JERK!!" Paul exclaimed, "You must have been devastated."

"I was.  I lost it.  I started throwing everything around and screaming.  Amber held me for about 15 minutes while I just cried my eyes out.  She was so angry with him too.  Well, to make a long story short, I confronted Jeff with the information and he confessed.  He didn’t even seem ashamed about it.  He almost seemed relieved that the truth was finally out.  Needless to say, that was the end of that.  When People magazine reported that we had broken up because Jeff had had an affair, the tabloids went nuts.

"Why didn’t People publish that he had married Angela?" Paul asked, confused.

"Oh well, that was Beverly.  She was wonderful.  She didn’t want me humiliated anymore than I was so she didn’t tell anyone about it.  She felt that they had enough information as it was.  The worst part was yet to come though.  About a month later, I was trying to get back to normal, Sheri found a copy of The National Enquirer.  It had an interview with Jeff in it and he told the tabloid that Angela hadn’t been the first woman he had been with, there were many more, and the only reason he had to be with those other women was because I was so cold in bed that he had to go somewhere else to get what he needed.  I called Jeff's mother, Clara, and she told me that she would find out what the deal was.  She called me back, angry as a hornet, and said that Jeff confessed to her that the tabloid had paid him a half million dollars to tell 'his side of the break-up'.  He told his mother it was his own little piece of revenge.  Well, I was embarrassed, I was so sure that the whole world read that trash.

"How did you get through it," Paul said.

"Well, I went home to be with my family in Alabama for while.  There I could really be myself and let all of my emotions out.  I stayed there about 2 weeks.  I had to do some taping for a couple of episodes of Deep Space Nine or I would have stayed longer.  It was difficult, but I began to heal.  I couldn’t go around mourning for someone who obviously didn’t love me.  When I got home, I went into my closet and got down the wedding dress that Jeff had picked out for me......

"Did you burn it?" Paul interjected.  "No, I took it to Vera Wang.  There were many parts of the dress that was nice, the material, some of the beading and lace.  I told Vera to take the dress and transform it into my dream dress, the one I had originally wanted.  She did.  It is in my closet right now, waiting.  I hope to wear it someday.

Paul seemed impressed.  He admired the way she was able to handle such a sad situation.  He felt so attracted to her right at that moment.  He wanted her badly.  He wanted to take her in his arms and make love to her that very minute.  He didn’t want to let her go, not tonight, not ever.  But he wanted to be cautious, he didn’t want to rush.  He didn’t want this night to end; he was having such a relaxing time just being with her.  But something was growing inside...something strong... and he wasn’t sure he was going to be able to control it any longer.

Chapter 9

Calen's heart was filled with happiness.  It had been so long since she had talked about Jeff, that if felt good to get it out of her system.

"Thank you so much for listening to me Paul," she said gratefully, "but now that I have talked you ear off, I guess I should be going."

"Do you have to, do you have to work tomorrow?" Paul asked.

"No, but don’t you have to get ready for the tour?"

"No, we don’t leave for Boston until Tuesday afternoon, everything is done and ready until then, so please....stay with me."

Calen just couldn’t resist that voice.

"Are you begging?" Calen teased.

Paul got off the couch and knelt in front of Calen, placing his hands on her knees, he looked up at her and smiled a wicked smile.

"Oh, I guess you are," Calen said almost in a whisper.

"I want you," Paul said as he leaned closer.

Calen was totally mesmerized by his gaze.  Oh my God, he is sooo sexy, she thought to herself.  She wanted Paul so bad.  She had dreamed of this moment hundreds of times, but now she was shaking at the thought this might actually happen.  She got a hold of herself.  It is now or never, girl, make it last, she said to herself.

"I’m yours Paul, I have always been yours," she said almost breathless.

*********************

The bedroom door flew open as Paul carried Calen inside.  He laid her on the bed and covered her mouth with his own, smothering her with a passionate embrace.  They were both breathless with passion.  She could feel his hardness straining to be released and she ran her hand down to caress it.  Paul moaned and gasped at her touch.

"I have to have you," he moaned.

"Yes Paul…" Calen whispered.

Paul just couldn’t take it any longer.  He had promised himself he would take it easy, but he just couldn’t.  He could no longer contain the passion he had inside.  He grabbed Calen's blouse and pulled it so hard the buttons popped off.

"Ohhh!" Calen gasped.  She loved this side of Paul, this wildness.  She felt powerful, being able to make him crazy like this.

"I’m so sorry baby," said Paul realizing he had torn her blouse

"Don’t be...don’t ever be sorry Paul."

Paul ran his hand down Calen's stomach, feeling her silky smooth flesh.  He began unbuttoning the buttons of her pants when she suddenly stopped him.

"Oh no," she said with a tease, "you first."

Then Calen flipped Paul over on his back and straddled him.  She began to slowly kiss his neck, taking in the wonderful smell of his cologne.  Her fingers ran through the hair on his chest tracing around his erect nipples.  This was driving Paul to the point of insanity.  He didn’t know how much long he would be able to hold out.

"Do you like this?" she asked gently in his ear. "Would you like some more?"

"Oh, yes," he cried out almost without thinking.

Calen sat back up, still straddling him and began to remove her bra.  Paul reached up and caressed her breasts through the fabric.  This stopped Calen in her tracks.

"That feels sooo good," she moaned loudly.

Paul sat up until they were face to face.  He grabbed her bra and ripped it off, leaned down and began to kiss her breasts, slowly and deliberately sucking on her nipples.  Calen threw her head back and started breathing heavily.  She couldn’t stand it.  Paul was driving her crazy.  She grabbed his face and pulled him to her lips.  She kissed him hard, harder than she ever kissed anyone in her life.  She held on to him for deal life as he turned her over onto her back.

"These clothes are getting in the way,” Paul said as he quickly started taking off his shirt and pants.  They laughed as Calen struggled to get out of her skintight leather pants.

"Remind me to wear something more accessible next time." Calen joked.

When Calen had all of her clothes off, Paul stared at her with amazement.

"You are more beautiful than I had ever imagined,” said Paul as he began to remove her panties.  Calen could no longer speak.  She was so hot that she wanted Paul to take her now, but she couldn’t find the words.  Paul could sense what she was feeling.  He felt the same.  He could no longer contain his passion for her.

He entered her with such force that it took them both off guard.  She felt so good, so hot inside Paul wasn’t sure he could sustain himself.  He slowly began to thrust in and out...deeper each time and they moaned and sighed in unison as their rhythm increased.

"Oh Paul!" Calen moaned.

Paul grabbed her hips and thrust himself ever deeper inside.  Her moans and cried drove him harder than he had ever been driven before. Calen knew she was about to cum, but she wanted to wait, she didn’t want to cum until she heard Paul first.

"I want to hear you Paul," Calen gasped breathlessly.

"You first baby." Paul said

"I can’t...no, I have to hear you...first." Calen said beginning to lose it.

"Anything baby.....just cum for me..please...NOW!" said Paul.

And with that Paul let go with a thunderous eruption.  Not in a long, long time had he cum so hard.

"Oh god, OH GOD!  Don’t stop!!" Calen screamed as she reached climax, digging her nails into Paul's ass, pushing him in as deep as he would go.

"Man, that was...that was..." was all Paul could say as he collapsed next to Calen on the bed.  They laid there the rest of the night, never speaking another word, and drifted off to sleep in each other's arms.

**************************

Calen woke the next morning forgetting where she was.  She had wondered if this was all just a dream, but when she shook loose the cobwebs, she realized where she really was.  A wave of contentment came over her.  I could get used to this, she thought to herself, getting up from the bed.  She waited for Paul, thinking he might be in the shower or something, but quickly realized he wasn’t in the room.  She found one of Paul's robes draped over a chair and put it on and went looking for him.  As she approached the living room, she heard Paul's voice talking to someone on the phone.  She could only make out a couple of words so she went closer.  She knew it was wrong to snoop, but she was just too curious.

"I just don’t know how to make you understand, we have been drifting apart for so long, you don’t treat me with any consideration....no, I don’t care, you have to get this through your head, it is over, it was over months ago we were just going through the motions....no, what happened Saturday night after the concert was a mistake...yes, a mistake...I’m not going to go through this with you right now....I’m moving on and you should too...none of your business who it is, that is my business, not yours."

Calen couldn’t believe what she was hearing, was this Nicole he was talking to?

"Oh, and you are going to try and tell me that you have been totally faithful while we have been together?....yeah, that is what I figured...look, I don’t want to do this...finally, I’m happy...I wish the best for you, I really do...yes, just please understand...I need to go, good luck, bye."

Calen waited about 10 seconds after Paul hung up the phone before she came in.  He looked a little flustered, but he was standing at the sink fixing a cup of coffee.  He smiled when she walked in.

"Good morning." he said cheerfully, "I was just on my way up with some coffee, did you sleep well?"

"Yes, I slept great, thanks,” said Calen, taking the coffee.

"I can’t believe I slept so late," "I usually don’t sleep past 8am on my days off" Calen said.

"Well, I was going to wake you earlier, but I got a phone call," Paul started, "It was from Nicole, she was letting me know she would fly to Boston to attend the show.  I told her not to."

"You didn’t?  Why?"

"I told her it was over.  Actually it had been over for quite some time but I made it official today.  She didn’t believe me, she thought it was a big joke and started laughing.  She wasn’t even that upset, she was more upset at the fact that I wouldn’t be appearing at the runway show she was doing next week.  She apparently had arranged for a photographer to take pictures of us together, she thought it would give the show some publicity.  I can’t figure out what I saw in her to begin with."

They settled down over on the couch and held each other and Calen put her head on Paul's shoulder.  This is the safest I have ever felt in my life, she smiled.

"Don’t worry about it Paul, people change, circumstances change, there wasn’t anything you could do about it.  It sounded like she used you to further her career.  I bet her and Jeff would have made a good couple." Calen joked.

"I know, you are right.  "I wish you could come to Boston with me"

"I wish I could too, but we are starting a promotional tour for the new movie and my schedule is tight for a while."

Paul held Calen close to him.  She was with him now and he wasn’t about to let her go.  He knew that no matter where he was or what he was doing, they would be together. He indeed had found the woman he was meant to be with.

"That’s ok, no matter what, you will be in my thoughts, my angel."

"You will be in mine too, my Starchild."
