And
yes, I did base the characters of Paul and Gene after Paul and Gene of KISS,
although it isn’t published as so. The
characters have nothing to do with KISS, but were based instead on the
individual people. It was originally
posted on an e-list, then posted on my site, and later posted on Starchild’s
Paradise. It has gained some
recognition in the KISS army and for that, I am really grateful. But when I decided to publish it, I felt
that the book should be enjoyed by all readers, KISS fans or not, so I didn't
want to nail it down beforehand and give the perception that this was a book
about two members of KISS. But to make
it very clear to everyone, the characters of Paul and Gene Sheppard were inspired by Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, but they are NOT a copy of
them. I hope that people will get that
sense while reading it. Thanks!

Excerpt:
Paul pulled onto Hollywood Blvd,
looking for just the right woman. He
had chosen a red head the last time, so this time, he felt a brunette would be
appropriate. He cruised the streets for
nearly an hour until someone finally struck his fancy.
“Hey sugar, you lookin' for a
good time?” the young woman asked, snapping on a piece of gum.
“You bet, babe, you got a room
around here?”
“Right around the
corner....wanna give me a lift?”
“Sure, hun, hop in.” He answered
as he unlocked the door for her.
The young woman settled down in
the car and gave him directions to the hotel.
When he pulled into the hotel parking lot, he was relieved to find that
it was one he hadn’t occupied previously.
The young woman led Paul to her room, where she opened the door. They walked in and she went over to the bed,
letting her small purse and coat drop to the floor. Paul reached into his wallet and pulled out a $50 dollar bill and
handed it to her, which she placed on the small nightstand. As she began to undress, she sat down on the
bed and watched as Paul took off his coat and lay it down behind him. He walked over to the bed and sat down
behind her. Reaching around, he gently
began rubbing her small breasts, while his lips tasted her tender skin. He took his fingers and traced the delicate
lines of her neck, as he leaned her head to one side, exposing the deep veins
that lie beneath. He licked his lips
hungrily as he placed his mouth down on her neck. Forcefully, he bit down, feeling the sudden rush of hot blood
fill his mouth and began to suck, making the young woman jump, but then she
soon began to moan heavily.
“Ummmm, what are you doing? That feels sooo.....,” she cried, unaware of
the ultimate fate that soon awaited her.
Paul continued to take in the
blood slowly, savoring every drop, while his hands continued to caress her
breasts and eventually down to the soft skin between her long, thin thighs.
The young woman's cries of
passion were now getting louder and louder.
Never before had she experienced such intense pleasure.
Paul listened to her and soon,
her moans grew softer and softer, and she eventually went limp in his arms, all
her blood drained from her young body.
“Thank you, my dear.” he
muttered coldly as he laid the woman on the bed, took his money and his coat
and quietly left the hotel room.
